| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Winn C. Davidson of Palatine, who passed |
| 4 | | away on November 22, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Winn Davidson was born in Kansas City, Missouri on |
| 6 | | June 8, 1938 to Harry S. and Myrtle (nee Johnson) Davidson; he |
| 7 | | graduated from McHenry High School in 1956 and went on to |
| 8 | | attend the University of Illinois at Chicago and Northwestern |
| 9 | | University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business; |
| 10 | | he lettered in wrestling at both universities; in 1967, while |
| 11 | | working at the First National Bank of Chicago, he graduated |
| 12 | | from John Marshall Law School; he married Linda Leshuk on |
| 13 | | December 26, 1979 in Woodstock; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Winn Davidson practiced law in Palatine; in 1975, |
| 15 | | he founded the Bank of Palatine, serving as President and |
| 16 | | Chairman of the Board for 39 years; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Winn Davidson served the community in many ways; |
| 18 | | he was the President of the Palatine Chamber of Commerce, a |
| 19 | | member of the Palatine Police Pension Board, a member of the |
| 20 | | Palatine Jaycees, and an honorary member of the Rotary Club of |
| 21 | | Palatine; he was recognized by John Marshall Law School with a |
| 22 | | Distinguished Service Award in 1987; throughout his career, he |
