SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dolores E. "Chick" Groh of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on December 6, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dolores Groh was born on September 15, 1928 in
6Chicago; her parents were Joseph and Bessie (nee Blazek) Kasik;
7she married Arthur Groh on August 13, 1949 in Chicago; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dolores Groh was a well-respected realtor in
9McHenry County for many years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dolores Groh was a founding member of a social
11club for women known as the Gooney Gals; she also enjoyed
12spending time with her family, dancing the night away to the
13sound of big band music with her husband, and relaxing with
14friends on her pontoon boat, "Chick's Mink"; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dolores Groh is survived by her husband, Arthur; 3
16sons, Douglas Groh, Gary Groh, and Mark (Genelle) Groh; 4
17grandchildren, Nathan Groh, Megan Groh, Adam Brunner, and
18Alyssa Groh; a brother, Rudolph Sirotek; and her dear friend,
19Annette Weber; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Dolores E. "Chick"
3Groh; and be it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of Dolores Groh as an expression of our
6sympathy.
