SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Lester E. "Bud" Rasmussen of Crystal 
4Lake, who passed away on February 7, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lester Rasmussen was born in Crystal Lake on 
6December 7, 1922 to Elmer and Emma Rasmussen; he served in the 
7United States Army during World War II and married Blanche Bein 
8on October 31, 1953; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Lester Rasmussen enjoyed playing cards and going 
10to casinos; he was an avid Chicago Bears and Bulls fan; he also 
11enjoyed golf and loved sweets, especially cookies; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Lester Rasmussen was preceded in death by his 
13parents; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Lester Rasmussen is survived by his wife of 61 
15years, Blanche; his son, Tim; his daughters, Myra (Larry) 
16Buettner and Cindy (Jack) Bittner; his sister, Pauline 
17McMorrow; his 3 grandchildren, Joe Buettner, Kristen (Collin) 
18Jeanquart, and Michael Buettner; and his 2 
19great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Carter Jeanquart; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Lester E. "Bud" Rasmussen, and extend our sincere condolences 
4to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
5it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Lester Rasmussen as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
