SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles Willard Martin of Lakemoor, who
4passed away on December 17, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Martin was born in Woodstock on January 1,
61938 to Charles Willard and Dorothy Rose (nee Netzel) Martin,
7Sr.; he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean
8War and married Janice Jones in Reno, Nevada on November 2,
91957; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Charles Martin retired after many years of
11dedicated service working for Lee and Ray Electric; he served
12the Village of Lakemoor as Chairman of Zoning and Planning,
13Electrical Inspector, and Police Chief; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Charles Martin was a member of American Legion
15Post #491; he enjoyed motorcycling, bicycling, gardening,
16listening to old-time radio, woodworking, traveling, and
17playing cards at the McHenry Senior Center; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Charles Martin was preceded in death by his
19parents; his daughter, Cathy Martin; his son, Michael Martin;
20his 2 granddaughters, Rebecca L. and Rachel A. Browne; and his
21grandson, Charles Willard Martin, IV; and

1    WHEREAS, Charles Martin is survived by his wife, Janice;
2his children, Charles Willard Martin, III, Linda (Leonard)
3Browne, and Carol Hoffman; his grandchildren, Bret Hoffman,
4Steven Hoffman, Christine Martin, Lindsay Browne, Lauren
5Browne, and Ryan Panenka; his great-grandchildren, Charlotte
6Martin, Violet Martin, and Charles Willard Martin, V; and his
7brother Warren R. (Gertrude) Martin; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Charles Willard Martin, and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Charles Martin as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
