SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William Cornelius Faber of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on December 31, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Faber was born on March 11, 1923 in
6Chicago; his parents were John D. and Irene Faber; and
 
7    WHEREAS, William Faber graduated from St. George Academy in
8Chicago and attended classes at Loyola University; and
 
9    WHEREAS, William Faber served his country as a member of
10the United States Navy, flying seaplanes over the Pacific
11during World War II; and
 
12    WHEREAS, William Faber worked as a sales representative for
13several fabric wholesalers for many years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, William Faber served as coach at his son's high
15school and later coached adult teams; he also played basketball
16and tennis well into his eighties and loved dancing and
17traveling with his wife; and
 
18    WHEREAS, William Faber was preceded in death by his first
19wife, Colette, and his siblings, John Faber, Donald Faber,

1Marcella Klawitter, and Jean (Robert) Theiss; and
 
2    WHEREAS, William Faber is survived by his beloved wife,
3Jacklyn (nee Quinney); his children, William C. (Frances)
4Faber, Jr., Thomas Faber, Mary Faber, Marian (Michael) Weaver,
5Charles (Julie) Quinney, John (Terri) Quinney, Christopher,
6David, and Matthew Quinney, and Amy (Clayton) Vowels; 21
7grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Robert
8(Eleanor) Faber, Gwen Faber and Sheila Faber; and several
9nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of William Cornelius
13Faber; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of William Faber as an expression of
16our sympathy.
