SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Martin L. Combs of Carrollton, who passed 
4away on April 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Martin Combs was born in Carrollton on November 
630, 1948 to Carlie and Nadine Baker Combs; he served in the 
7United States Marine Corps and married Arlene Hedger; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Martin Combs worked for Cassen Truck Line and for 
9Pepsi; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Martin Combs enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 
11trapping; he also enjoyed music, playing guitar, and visiting 
12with family and friends; he was a member of the "We Three" 
13band; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Martin Combs was preceded in death by his parents; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Martin Combs is survived by his daughter, Amy 
17(Tim) Duncan; his 3 grandchildren, Bret, Karlie, and Jordan; 
18and many other relatives; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Martin L. Combs, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Martin Combs as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
