SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frank R. Masters of Carlinville, who
4passed away on April 17, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Masters was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania
6on September 12, 1956 to Frank R. and Eleanor Beatrice (nee
7Quering) Masters; he graduated from Pittsburgh University; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Frank Masters started his career with Exxon Mobil;
9he helped build the Monterey Coal Mine #1 in Carlinville as a
10mining engineer; he later worked in the mine as a supervisor;
11he retired after 35 years from Exxon Mobil as a sales manager;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Masters' real passion was the NASA space
14program and he enjoyed teaching others of its value; he enjoyed
15geology, boating, politics, and was a great story teller; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Frank Masters married Denise M. (Allen) Riech on
17August 8, 2008 at their residence in Carlinville; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Masters was preceded in death by his
19parents; his sister, Jackie A. McQuiston; and his brother, Bud
20Matiste; and

1    WHEREAS, Frank Masters is survived by his wife, Denise; his
2daughter, Megan Masters; his son, Devon Masters; his
3step-daughters, Megan and Sarah Riech; his step-sons, Andrew
4Riech and Nicholas Riech; his step-granddaughter, Grace Pack;
5his sister, Karen Lee Gish; and his 2 nephews, Scott McQuiston
6and Lance Matiste; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Frank R. Masters, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Frank Masters as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
