SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Chester J. Drozd of North Chicago, who
4passed away on March 10, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was born on November 17, 1924 in
6North Chicago; his parents were Jacob and Elizabeth Drozd; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Chester Drozd served in the United States Navy
8during World War II; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was involved with the Casmir Pulaski
10Polish Legion of American Veterans, Polish National Alliance
11#1078, and the Polish Home Club; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was the manager at the Polish Home
13Club in North Chicago for many years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Chester Drozd is survived by several nieces and
15nephews; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was preceded in death by his
17parents; 3 sisters, Helen Kozik, Eleanore Daujotas, and Marian
18Tomkovich; and 2 brothers, Joseph and John Drozd; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Chester J. Drozd; and
4be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Chester Drozd as an expression of
7our sympathy.
