SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Donald E. Giarrante of Port Charlotte, 
4Florida, who passed away on April 4, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Giarrante was born on December 12, 1933 in 
6Cherry; he moved from Mundelein to Florida in 2000; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Donald Giarrante served his country as a member of 
8the United States Navy; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Giarrante was a retired Senior Vice 
10President for Koenig and Strey Real Estate in Libertyville; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald Giarrante was a member of the Libertyville 
12Noon Rotary Club, past president of both the Lake County 
13Realtors and Chamber of Commerce, and one of the founders of 
14the Carmel High School Athletic Booster Club; in Florida, he 
15was a director of the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club and a member 
16of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, the Punta Gorda Elks 
17Lodge, Knights of Columbus, the Loyal Order of Moose; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, Donald Giarrante is survived by his wife of 56 
19years, Carole; his children, Sally, Pamela, Mark, and John; his 
20sisters, Mary, Rose Ann, and Annette; his brothers, Gordon,

1Tom, and Bob; 4 grandchildren, Karlie, Alex, Joey, and 
2Isabella; and 3 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald E. Giarrante; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Donald Giarrante as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
