| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph C. Marocco, who passed away on |
| 4 | | February 4, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Marocco was born in Joliet and spent most |
| 6 | | of his life in Waukegan; his parents were Frank and Noreen (nee |
| 7 | | Maielli) Marocco; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Marocco served his country as a member of |
| 9 | | the United States Marine Corps; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Marocco was the operator of Marocco's Pizza |
| 11 | | and Joe's Lounge in Waukegan, where he sponsored many city |
| 12 | | championship softball teams, bowling and cribbage leagues; he |
| 13 | | also owned Marocco's Lounge; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Marocco was a member of the Waukegan |
| 15 | | Charter Boat Association and operated the Barbra Jo Charters on |
| 16 | | Lake Michigan; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Marocco enjoyed hunting, fishing, |
| 18 | | trap-shooting, playing handball at the Waukegan YMCA, golfing, |
| 19 | | wood-working, and relaxing in his back yard reading books; and |
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Marocco was preceded in death by his |
| 2 | | parents; his brother, Frank; his brother-in-law, Cal Blair; and |
| 3 | | his sister-in-law, Geri Marocco; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Marocco is survived by his wife of 54 |
| 5 | | years, Barbara (nee Glogovsky); his children, Carla Jo (David) |
| 6 | | Roy, Joey (girlfriend, Daphne) and Gina Jo (Greg) Moisio; his |
| 7 | | grandchildren, Danielle (Ross Haseman), Katie, Nikki, and |
| 8 | | Michael Roy, and Giana Jo, Jolina Jo, and Milana Jo Moisio; 3 |
| 9 | | brothers, Wayne, Norman (Helen), and Dale (Janet) Marocco; his |
| 10 | | sister, Noreen Blair; his sister-in-law, Anne Marocco; and many |
| 11 | | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph C. Marocco; and |
| 15 | | be it further
|
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 17 | | presented to the family of Joseph Marocco as an expression of |
| 18 | | our sympathy.
