SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jay W. "Juggler" Nordberg of Park City,
4who passed away on December 1, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jay Nordberg was born in Evanston on April 1,
61926; he graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1944;
7he served during World War II from 1944 to 1946 with the Army
828th Calvary Reconnaissance Squadron; he graduated from
9Western Illinois University in 1951; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jay Nordberg worked as an accountant at Johnson
11Motors (OMC) for 30 years, retiring in 1985; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jay Nordberg was a member of American Legion Post
13771 in Gurnee; he was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose,
14Lodge 667 in Zion and of La Societe des 40 Hommes et 8 Chevaux,
15Local 604; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jay Nordberg was preceded in death by his
17daughter, Julia Smith; his mother, Lois Cheshire; his brother
18and sister-in-law, Hal and Edna Nordberg; and his sister,
19Elizabeth Hoye; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jay Nordberg is survived by his 3 daughters, Laura

1Lusiak, Janice (Bernard) Lord, and Pamela (Nicholas)
2Siedlecki; his 10 grandchildren, Jessica (Chad), Marek
3(Heidi), Erin, Miles, Rebecca (Matt), Katrina, Stacy, Kenny,
4Heather, and Kaitlin; his 7 great-grandchildren, Emma-Marie,
5Ariel, Averie, Evan, Reese, Anniston, and Aiden; his sister,
6Loraine (Howie) Herrin; several nieces and nephews; and many
7friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Jay W. "Juggler" Nordberg, and extend our sincere condolences
11to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jay Nordberg as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
