| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Martha (nee Koziar) Pish of Zion, who |
| 4 | | passed away on April 10, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Martha Pish was born in Olyphant, Pennsylvania on |
| 6 | | September 1, 1916; she married Alex Pish in Pennsylvania and |
| 7 | | they moved to North Chicago in 1941; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Martha Pish worked for Abbott Laboratories for 15 |
| 9 | | years; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Martha Pish helped start a sewing club with many |
| 11 | | of her friends that lasted for 50 years of which she was the |
| 12 | | lone survivor; she kept everyone warm with her homemade knitted |
| 13 | | slippers; she also was active with the senior citizens club in |
| 14 | | North Chicago; she lived at Rolling Hills Place for several |
| 15 | | years and made many friends with the residents and staff; she |
| 16 | | was a member of the Church of St. Patrick in Wadsworth; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Martha Pish was preceded in death by her husband |
| 18 | | of 75 years, Alex; her brother, Michael Koziar; and her 3 |
| 19 | | sisters, Shirley Farretti, Anna Tornambe, and Olga Partnova; |
