| 3 | | learn of the death of Eugene Shea, who passed away on March 31, |
| 4 | | 2015; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Shea was born on August 14, 1928 in |
| 6 | | Waukegan; his parents were Laurello and Alice (nee Sweeney) |
| 7 | | Shea; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Shea graduated from Waukegan High School |
| 9 | | and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education |
| 10 | | from National Lewis University; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, In 1950, Eugene Shea entered the United States |
| 12 | | Army; he served in the field artillery during the Korean |
| 13 | | Conflict; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Shea taught elementary education at |
| 15 | | Immaculate Conception School in Waukegan and Oakland Grade |
| 16 | | School and Antioch Grade School in Antioch; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Shea began teaching baton twirling lessons |
| 18 | | at the age of 18 at the YMCA and the Catholic Community Center |
| 19 | | in Waukegan before owning and operating Shea's Baton and Dance |
| 20 | | Studio on Grand Avenue in Waukegan for many years; he was also |
