SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Barbara Jane Sikich of Zion, who passed 
4away on April 11, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Barbara Sikich was born on May 28, 1951 in 
6Waukegan and was a lifetime resident of the area; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Barbara Sikich served as a preschool teacher at 
8Paul K. Kennedy Child Care Center for 30 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Barbara Sikich was a lifetime member of the 
10Croatian Cultural Center and Croatian Lodge 848; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Barbara Sikich was preceded in death by her 
12parents, Pete and Mary Sikich, and her significant other, Sam 
13Taylor; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Barbara Sikich is survived by her siblings, 
15Patricia Sikich, Millie (Chris) Biedron, Pete (Julie) Sikich, 
16Beverly (Dan) Turkowski, and Ed (Deb) Sikich; 2 stepdaughters, 
17Kristin (Mark) Heiny and Stacey Wright; and many nieces, 
18nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and grandchildren;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Barbara Jane Sikich; 
4and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Barbara Sikich as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
