| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Richard F. "Boomer" Evers of Hebron, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 27, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Evers was born in Harvard on May 18, 1933 |
| 6 | | to Ernest Henry and Elizabeth (nee Schulz) Evers; he graduated |
| 7 | | from Alden-Hebron High School in 1951; he married Becky |
| 8 | | Berryman on July 22, 1961 in Woodstock; he served in the United |
| 9 | | States Army as a SP 3, stationed in France; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Richard Evers was a farmer on the family farm his |
| 11 | | entire life; he was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau |
| 12 | | and was a former director of the Genoa City Co-Op board; he was |
| 13 | | a director of the Woodstock Progressive Milk Producers and |
| 14 | | represented them as past director on the Illinois Milk |
| 15 | | Promotion Board and Midwest Dairy Association for many years; |
| 16 | | and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Richard Evers was a lifetime member of the |
| 18 | | Freemasons for over 50 years; he enjoyed local history and |
| 19 | | telling stories; he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church |
| 20 | | in Hebron; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Richard Evers was preceded in death by his |
