SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John P. "Jack" Weber of McHenry, who
4passed away on December 23, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Weber was born in Waukegan on September 17,
61933 to Robert L. and Mary (nee Walsh) Weber; he was raised in
7McHenry and educated at St. Mary's and Landmark schools before
8graduating from McHenry High School; while attending high
9school, he worked for a local veterinarian, and after
10graduating, he initially attended college in southern Illinois
11with the intention of becoming a vet; on February 6, 1956, he
12married Lora Jean Hay at the Cook County Courthouse in Chicago,
13and, on March 19, 1956, at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago; he
14served in the United States Army from October of 1956 to
15September of 1958; and
 
16    WHEREAS, After training to become an electrician with IBEW
17Local 117, John Weber worked as an electrician for his entire
18career; he was employed by Lee & Ray Electric and later Carey
19Electric, both in McHenry; he retired from Carey Electric at
20the age of 62; and
 
21    WHEREAS, John Weber was a member of Christ the King
22Catholic Church in Wonder Lake and was the first photographer

1for the Wonder Lake Fire Department; he was also a member of
2IBEW Local 117; he enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, the
3outdoors, bird watching, and his dogs; and
 
4    WHEREAS, John Weber was preceded in death by a brother,
5Robert; and
 
6    WHEREAS, John Weber is survived by his wife of 58 years,
7Jean; his 6 children, Arthur (Barbara) Weber, Julie (John)
8Rice, Cheri (Sam) Zito, Mary (Cliff) Otto, Michael (Beth)
9Weber, and Bobby (Berta) Weber; his 20 grandchildren, Jill,
10Marsha, Katie, Jackie, John John, Janelle, Jordanne, Peter,
11Amanda, Stephanie, Ashlea', Tom, Austin, Tanner, Chris, Sarah,
12Alicia, Katherine, Monica, and Josh; his 11
13great-grandchildren, Dominic, Jackson, Mason, Landon,
14Makenzie, Jameson, Blake, Madilynn, Ambrea, Violet, and
15Ryland; his sister, Ann (the late Ron) Vacula; and his
16sister-in-law, Sue Weber; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19John P. "Jack" Weber, and extend our sincere condolences to his
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
21further
