SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Diane Marie Merriman, who passed away on
4April 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Diane Merriman was born on August 10, 1953 in
6Joliet; her parents were Margaret (nee Sandretto) and Maynard
7"Pete" Butts; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Diane Merriman was a 1967 graduate of Sacred Heart
9Grade School; she subsequently graduated from Joliet Central
10High School in 1971 and attended beauty school; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Diane Merriman worked as a hair stylist for many
12years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Diane Merriman was a member of St. Mary Nativity
14Catholic Church and was active in the Women's Club, where she
15served as treasurer for many years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Diane Merriman was preceded in death by her
17parents; a granddaughter, Paige Pakula; her father-in-law,
18Edward Merriman; and a brother-in-law, Alan Merriman; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Diane Merriman is survived by her husband of 38

1years, David G. Merriman; 2 children, Jennifer (Gregory) Pakula
2and Jason (Kristen) Merriman; 4 grandchildren, Kaylee, Alayna,
3and Alyson Pakula and Jacob Merriman; a sister, Linda (Gary)
4Heap; 4 brothers, David (Diane) Hibler, Steven (Kathleen)
5Butts, Lawrence (Barbara) Butts, and Thomas (Ilene) Butts; her
6mother-in-law, Mary Jane Merriman; a brother-in-law, Tom
7(Beth) Merriman; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Diane Marie Merriman;
11and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Diane Merriman as an expression of
14our sympathy.
