SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Harold E. Collier of Chemung, who passed 
4away on March 10, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Collier was born on September 15, 1940 in 
6Harvard; his parents were Harry and Irene (nee Saunders) 
7Collier; he married Mary Lou Holtfreter on July 30, 1966; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Harold Collier served his country as a member of 
9the United States Army; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Harold Collier was a longtime member of the 
11Harvard Moose Club; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Harold Collier was an avid Chicago Bears, Chicago 
13White Sox, and NASCAR fan; he enjoyed going to the casino, 
14fishing, camping, and square dancing; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Harold Collier was preceded in death by his 
16parents; 2 brothers, Albert and Bobby; 2 sisters, Margaret and 
17Marion; and 3 brothers-in-law, Robert Swanson, Bud Anderson, 
18and Jay Toombs; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Harold Collier is survived by his wife of 48

1years, Mary Lou Collier; a daughter, Jeniffer (Adam) Boukal; 
2and a sister, Eleanor Swanson; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold E. Collier; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Harold  Collier as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
