SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The  members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Cheryl L. Gurecki of Spring Grove, who 
4passed away on March 27, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gurecki was born on November 15, 1956; she 
6married George Gurecki on April 15, 1999; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gurecki worked for 2 decades as a legal 
8secretary for various law firms before discovering her interest 
9and pursuing a career in catering; after a dozen years in the 
10catering business, she realized a passion and unique gift for 
11event planning and together with her husband, they opened The 
12Shores of Turtle Creek; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gurecki enjoyed traveling and the 
14companionship of her 4-legged babies, Bootse, Brandy, and 
15Minnie; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gurecki was preceded in death by her 
17parents; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Cheryl Gurecki is survived by her husband, George; 
19her sisters, Karen Vanauken and Mary Ann (Charles) Raney; her 
20brothers, James Hedman, Jr. and Glen Nehlsen; her

1mother-in-law, Irene Peery; her brother-in-law, Richard 
2(Theresa); her nieces, Jennifer and Joann; and her nephew, 
3Roland; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Cheryl L. Gurecki, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
7family and friends and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Cheryl Gurecki as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
