SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edna M. Kiley of Crystal Lake, who passed
4away on March 14, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edna Kiley was born in Crystal Lake on March 1,
61921 to Otto and Ida (nee Schwalger) Berkley; she graduated
7from Crystal Lake High School in 1939 and married Thomas Kiley
8in Crystal Lake on September 27, 1942; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edna Kiley was a Sunday school teacher and Girl
10Scout leader; she loved fishing, gardening, and canning and
11excelled in bowling with which she stayed active until she was
1287; she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, of which
13she was a past President; she especially loved being Poppy
14chairman; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Edna Kiley was preceded in death by her parents;
16her husband, Thomas; her daughters, Robin Caputo and Carol
17Bear; and her siblings, Ralph Berkley, Ken Berkley, Frances
18Jurs, Marion Johnson, and Vera Waggoner; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Edna Kiley is survived by her daughter, MaryAnn
20(Len) Miele; her son-in-law, Mark Bear; her grandchildren, Ann
21(Anthony) Deegan, Kelly (Steve) Pagel, Kim (Mark) Oshinski,

1Angie (Joe) Blakeley, Jami (Greg) Golz, and Kerry (Walter)
2McLaughlin; her step-grandchildren, Tina Blair, Kori Davis,
3and Randee Miele; and her 14 great-grandchildren; therefore, be

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Edna M. Kiley, and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Edna Kiley as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
