SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Robert W. Carnahan, who passed away on 
4March 11, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Carnahan was born on May 9, 1929 in 
6Waukegan; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Robert Carnahan served his country as a member of 
8the United States Air Force; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Carnahan was the former owner of Carnahan's 
10Market in Waukegan; he was also a Master Meat Cutter; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Carnahan attended the Village Church of 
12Gurnee and was a member of Waukegan Yacht Club and the Waukegan 
13Power Squadron; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Carnahan is survived by his wife, Janet S. 
15Carnahan; his daughters, Barbara C. (Thomas) White and Sandy L. 
16(John) Slota; 3 grandchildren, Stephen and Ashley White and 
17Hannah Slota; a sister, Gayle Powers; a brother-in-law, Thomas 
18Mellen; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert W. Carnahan; 
3and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Robert Carnahan as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
