SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael Lloyd Hughes, who passed away on 
4February 15, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Hughes was born in Sanford, Florida on 
6October 16, 1945; in 1952, he moved to Illinois where he spent 
7the next 51 years living in and near Waukegan; he married 
8Connie Aho on August 16, 1969; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael Hughes was a professional actor by trade, 
10appearing in over 200 plays, 200 commercials, 200 industrial 
11films, several feature films, and guest spots on several 
12television series; he was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, 
13the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and 
14Actors Equity; he served as a national officer of Equity and as 
15a member of the Tony committee; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Hughes spent the last 12 years in Lake 
17Helen, Florida; he enjoyed softball, basketball, golf, 
18wrestling, pool, music and spending time with his teammates; 
19and
  
 
  
20    WHEREAS, Michael Hughes is survived by his son, Matthew; 
21his brothers, David and Stephen, their wives, Marilyn and Mary,

1and their children, Robin, Cindy, Randy, Hayden, Melanie, and 
2Cameron; his sister, Patricia; and his  great-nephew, Owen 
3Hughes; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Michael Lloyd Hughes, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Michael Hughes as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
