SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George C. Stahl of Mundelein, who passed
4away on April 2, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Stahl was born in Chicago on January 7,
61921 and had been a Mundelein resident since 1955; he served in
7the United States Army Air Corps during World War II in the
8European Theater; and
 
9    WHEREAS, George Stahl worked for 55 years at Commonwealth
10Edison in customer service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, George Stahl was a member of the Libertyville
12Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 329, St. Joseph
13Church, and the Libertyville Senior Center; he enjoyed fishing,
14computers, traveling, playing cards, and casinos and will be
15remembered for his sense of humor, making everyone he came
16across laugh; and
 
17    WHEREAS, George Stahl was preceded in death by his wife,
18Dorothy, and by his 2 brothers, Bill and Bob Stahl; and
 
19    WHEREAS, George Stahl is survived by his 3 children, Sherri
20and Gregory Stahl and Deborah Roper; his 2 grandchildren,

2(Bill) Porcelli; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5George C. Stahl, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of George Stahl as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
