SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Willie Columbus Steward of Markham, who 
4passed away on April 14, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Willie Steward was born on December 19, 1933 to 
6Ira "IC" Charles  and Johnnie Steward; he was educated at Yazoo 
7City Training School and Tougaloo College in Mississippi; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Willie Steward was employed at Xonics Medical 
9System in Chicago for over 25 years; later, he became a Quality 
10Control Manager, a job he took pride in until his retirement; 
11and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Willie Steward was preceded in death by his 
13parents and his older brother, Ira Charles Steward, Jr.; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Willie Steward is survived by his wife of over 50 
15years, Alyce Steward; his sons, Michael (Sandra) Steward and 
16Willie F. Steward; and his sibling, Shirley Hennington; 
17therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Willie Columbus Steward, and extend our sincere condolences to

1his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
