SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Janet M. Troyer of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on March 28, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janet Troyer was born on March 2, 1937 to Donald
6C. and Edna (nee Hinch) Ferguson; she graduated from
7Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in 1958 and
8Augustana College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in
91961; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Janet Troyer worked as a registered nurse for 57
11year; she retired from the McHenry County Visiting Nurses in
122001; she then volunteered at the McHenry County Free Health
13Clinic untill 2011; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Janet Troyer moved to California after graduating
15nursing school and developed a love of travel; from a nurse on
16a cruise line in the 60s to playing Santa in Singapore as a
17good will ambassador in 2003, she covered the United States,
18including Alaska and Hawaii, Europe, the Orient, and the
19Caribbean; she was especially fond of Greece; she was a
20long-time member of First Congregational Church of Crystal
21Lake; and

1    WHEREAS, Janet Troyer was preceded in death by her parents;
2her brother, James R. Ferguson; and her friend, Jack Doherty;
3and
 
4    WHEREAS, Janet Troyer is survived by her son, E. Scott
5(Nancy) Doherty; her dog, Hogan; her brother, Donald (Thelma)
6Ferguson; and nieces, nephews, and countless friends;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Janet M. Troyer, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Janet Troyer as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
