SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Margaret Ann Joppa of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on March 15, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Margaret Joppa was born in Milwaukee on April 4,
61942 to Howard and Esther (nee Ivicek) Mantor; she earned her
7Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Illinois
8University; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Margaret Joppa was employed as a second grade
10teacher by School District 47 in Crystal Lake for 38 years; she
11furthered her education at Loyola University, where she
12received a master's degree in education; throughout her career,
13she served as a mentor to several teachers; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Margaret Joppa enjoyed activities she could do
15with her family, especially playing golf with her husband,
16enjoying the outdoors, and going fishing with her family; she
17was always fond of all types of canine companions throughout
18her lifetime; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Margaret Joppa was preceded in death by her
20parents, and her husband, Douglas A. Joppa; and

1    WHEREAS, Margaret Joppa is survived by her 3 children,
2Ellen (Greg) Chrisman, Anne (John) Healy, and Gregory (Amber)
3Joppa; her 7 grandchildren, James, Brandon, Megan, Mark,
4Veronica, Jack, and Emma; her brother, James (Chris) Mantor;
5and her niece and her nephew; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Margaret Ann Joppa, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Margaret Joppa as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
