SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  John Nienhuis of Marengo, who passed away 
4on March 2, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Nienhuis was born on August 22, 1946 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Oney and Ella (nee Prufer) Nienhuis; 
7he married Gloria Rowe on December 10, 1967 in Warren; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, John Nienhuis worked for many years selling 
9fertilizer for Crop Production Services in Richmond; and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Nienhuis was a member of the Lions Club in 
11Union, where he served as secretary; he greatly enjoyed the 
12charity work that he was able to do through the Lions Club; he 
13also served on the Siems Park Board; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, John Nienhuis enjoyed deer hunting and golfing; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, John Nienhuis was preceded in death by his parents 
17and a brother, Robert Nienhuis; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, John Nienhuis is survived by his wife, Gloria; a 
19son, John (Sheryl) Nienhuis; and a brother, James (Ana)

1Nienhuis; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of John Nienhuis; and be 
5it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of John Nienhuis as an expression of 
8our sympathy.
