SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stuart John Bernard of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on April 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stuart Bernard was born in Normal on July 25, 1972
6to Reginald and Ruth Bernard; he graduated from Bloomington
7High School and attended Southern Illinois University; he
8graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in
9business; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Stuart Bernard was an entrepreneur and owned his
11own business, where he created and designed board and card
12games; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gaming was one of Stuart Bernard's favorite
14passions; he was also an excellent photographer, devotee of
15nature, animal lover, and had an interesting and eclectic taste
16in music; he loved to travel and spent several months exploring
17the United States in an old recreational vehicle, where he had
18many great adventures; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Stuart Bernard married Melisa Borino at Wildlife
20Prairie Park in Peoria on October 7, 2007; together they lived
21in Bozeman, Montana, where he was the Deputy City Clerk for the

1City of Bozeman, and Jamestown, North Dakota, where he worked
2for the South Central Dakota Regional Council and
3Realtruck.com; in 2011, they settled in Crystal Lake; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Stuart Bernard was preceded in death by his
5grandparents, and his beloved cat, Hoenir; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Stuart Bernard is survived by his wife of 8 years,
7Melisa; his brother, Stephen Bernard; his parents; his 2 cats;
8his mother-in-law, Diane Borino; his father-in-law, Bruce
9(Cheryl) Borino; his sisters-in-law, Erica (Patrick) Fisher
10and Karinda (Richard) Allen; his brother-in-law, Cory
11Matthews; his nephew and nieces; many aunts, uncles, and
12cousins; and countless friends; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Stuart John Bernard, and extend our sincere condolences to his
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Stuart Bernard as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
