SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mildred Orlovich, who passed away on May
42, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mildred Orlovich was born on July 13, 1912; her
6parents were Vaso and Helen (nee Zegarac) Petkovich; she was a
7resident of Joliet and Rockdale; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Mildred Orlovich retired from the Will County
9Sheriff Department after many years of service; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Mildred Orlovich was a member of St. George
11Serbian Orthodox Church and a founding member of the Circle of
12Serbian Sisters; she was also an Honorary Graduate of Joliet
13Catholic Academy in 2012; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mildred Orlovich was preceded in death by her
15husband, Joseph; a daughter, JoAnn; her parents; 5 sisters,
16Sophie (Leo) Klemt, Mary (George) Shimek, Stella (Joseph)
17Enich, Bessie (John) Hrechko, and Dorothy (Fred) Pribish, Sr.;
18and a brother, Peter (Leona) Petkovich; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Mildred Orlovich is survived by a son, Joseph
20(Josephine) Orlovich, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Marlo (Bartley)

1Perry, Joel Orlovich, and Paula (Jon) Waller; and a
2great-grandson, Brice Waller; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Mildred Orlovich; and
6be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Mildred Orlovich as an expression of
9our sympathy.
