SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Tracie McCain Hankins; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Tracie Hankins was born in Chicago on May 4, 1969
5to Melvin, Sr. and Pauline McCain; at a young age, she became a
6member of the St. John Family in Chicago; she attended George
7M. Pullman Grammar School and George H. Corliss High School;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Tracie Hankins worked at Norfolk Southern
10Railroad for many years, before moving on to work for Metra
11Rail Lines as a Conductor; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Tracie Hankins married her long-time sweetheart,
13Robert Hankins, on September 26, 2006; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tracie Hankins enjoyed being around her family and
15friends, playing with her cat, Max, mixing drinks, and going to
16concerts and dancing to house music; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Tracie Hankins is survived by her husband, Robert,
18Jr.; her son, Robert James; her mother, Pauline; her in-laws,
19Edna, Robert, Sr., and Bernice; her brothers, Melvin, Perry,
20Rickey, and Lynn; her sisters, Betty, Jeanette, Monica, and

1Tenille; her god-children, Lauren and Tyrese; and a host of
2nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Tracie McCain Hankins, and extend our sincere condolences to
7her family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Tracie Hankins as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
