| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Janette Weatherall, who passed away on |
| 4 | | May 11, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was born in St. Louis, Missouri |
| 6 | | on April 19, 1954 to Jim and Doris
Weatherall; she lived and |
| 7 | | was educated
in East St. Louis; she graduated with a bachelor's |
| 8 | | degree in anthropology and sociology from McKendree
College and |
| 9 | | later participated in the Harvard Trade Program; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, In 1989, Janette Weatherall relocated to
|
| 11 | | Springfield to pursue an employment opportunity with
AFSCME |
| 12 | | Local 2000, where she was
a Field Staff |
| 13 | | Representative/Lobbyist/Co-Political Action Director; prior to |
| 14 | | that she worked for the Department
of Public Aid as a |
| 15 | | caseworker; on December 13, 1993, her career as a Legislative |
| 16 | | Government Relations Consultant began with the Illinois |
| 17 | | Education Association, where she served 20 years before
|
| 18 | | retiring in 2013; she had a passion for health and wellness and |
| 19 | | enjoyed sharing and teaching the benefits of healthy
living |
| 20 | | through her work as an Independent Distributor with Young |
| 21 | | Living Essential Oils; and
|
| 22 | | WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was very passionate about |
|

| 1 | | serving in her
church (Cathedral of Praise), health, education, |
| 2 | | and spending time
with her family; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was preceded in death by her

| 4 | | parents; her brother; and her sister; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall is survived by her daughter, |
| 6 | | Fatina (Juan)
Conway; her 5 sisters, Annie (Eddie) Jumper, Mary |
| 7 | | Helen Walker,
Minnie Mclemore, Christine (Arthur) Francis, and |
| 8 | | Myra (Mark) Hunter;
her brother, Sylvester (Aletha) |
| 9 | | Weatherall; her uncle,
Herbert (Mary Frances) Weatherall; her 8 |
| 10 | | grandchildren, Janee
(Brandon) O'Bryant, Isaiah Conway, |
| 11 | | Jeremiah Conway, Darryn
Conway, Damon Conway, Danae Conway, |
| 12 | | Danielle Conway, and
Daniel Conway; her 2 great-grandchildren, |
| 13 | | Serenity and Christian
O'Bryant; her god-son, Casey Collier; |
| 14 | | her best friend, Lonnie Grant; and a
host of nephews, nieces, |
| 15 | | and friends; therefore, be it

| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 18 | | Jeanette Weatherall, and extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 19 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 20 | | further
