SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  G.W. Van Alstine of Carlinville, who 
4passed away on May 14, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine was born on August 22, 1972 in 
6Peoria; his parents were Wayne and Phyllis (nee Tockes) Van 
7Alstine; he married Carrie Ann Long on January 1, 1994 in 
8Jacksonville; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine graduated from Illini Bluffs High 
10School in Glasford in 1990; he subsequently earned his Donald 
11Ducktorate degree from Disney University in 1991, his 
12bachelor's degree from Illinois College in Jacksonville in 
131994, and his master's degree from Webster University in 
14Webster Groves, Missouri; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine was employed as the Southern 
16Illinois Market Manager for WBGL Radio in Carlinville for 7 
17years; he also served as a professor of business for the 
18University of Phoenix; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine was preceded in death by his 
20mother; and

1    WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine is survived by his wife, Carrie 
2Van Alstine; 5 children, Jayden, Gavin, Devin, Lauren, and 
3Lincoln Van Alstine; his father; a brother, Gene (Rexa) Frasco; 
4and a niece; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of G.W. Van Alstine; and 
8be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of G.W. Van Alstine as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
