SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Berley Nellum, Sr. of Peoria, who passed 
4away on May 12, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Berley Nellum, Sr. was born on May 16, 1950 in 
6Greenwood, Mississippi; his parents were Plume and Marie (nee 
7Beck) Nellum; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Berley Nellum, Sr. worked as a commercial 
9machinery painter at the Peoria Tractor and Equipment Company 
10and Capitol Machinery; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Berley Nellum, Sr. was preceded in death by his 
12parents; a sister; 2 brothers; and 4 grandchildren; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Berley Nellum, Sr. is survived by 3 daughters, 
14Carla (Tony) Nellum Robinson, Chanell Henley, and DeChana 
15(Donald) Hughes; 3 sons, Berley Webster, LaMont (Samantha) 
16Nellum, and Craig Nellum; 3 sisters, Mary (Louis) McAfee, Betty 
17Nellum Brown, and Liz Nellum; 2 brothers, Dan Nellum and Roy 
18Nellum; 16 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Berley Nellum, Sr.;

6of our sympathy.
