SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Martin Hedrich, Sr. of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on May 8, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Martin Hedrich, Sr. was born in Liebling, Romania
6and emigrated to the United States in 1950; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Martin Hedrich, Sr. worked as an auto mechanic and
8eventually took correspondence courses in TV and radio repair,
9which enabled him to start his own business; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Martin Hedrich, Sr. loved to work with wood,
11making furniture and toys for his grandchildren and
12great-grandchildren; he was also a great photographer, poet,
13and writer; he also enjoyed traveling extensively throughout
14the world; he spent many weeks at his family's cottage in
15Northern Wisconsin trying to catch that elusive muskie; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Martin Hedrich, Sr. was preceded in death by his
17parents, Martin and Phillipine Hedrich; his daughter-in-law,
18Marilyn; his sister, Phillipine Kunz; and his first
19great-grandson, Jacob; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Martin Hedrich, Sr. was the loving husband of 74

1years to Rosina; the valued and treasured father to Marty and
2Lolly (John) Kroos; the loving and caring grandpa to David
3(Lana), Scott Kroos, Heidi, Todd (Laura) Kroos, and Tim
4(Noemi); and the wonderful great grandpa (Opa) to Nina, Nicole,
5Elizabeth, Courtney, Kari, Amanda, Justin, Austin, Bailey,
6Faith, Katie, Nate, and Micah; he is also survived by other
7relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Martin Hedrich, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Martin Hedrich, Sr. as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
