SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rosalie (nee Lowe) Loeding of Naperville,
4who passed away on May 7, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosalie Loeding was born in Lufkin, Texas; she
6grew up in El Paso and Dallas, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana;
7she earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree in music
8from Northwestern University; she married John Loeding in 1949;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Rosalie Loeding was a voice teacher who counted
11among her students, Conway Twitty and Paul Harvey; she taught
12"vocal survival" seminars to actors, preachers, and singers of
13opera, rock, and jazz; she presented papers at professional
14conferences and worked with a voice rehabilitation program at
15then Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center; she was
16invited by doctors on consultations with patients; she worked
17as a professor at Benedictine University from 1970 to 1995; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Rosalie Loeding enjoyed performing in suburban
19musical theater, including "South Pacific" and "Damn Yankees";
20and
 
21    WHEREAS, Rosalie Loeding became involved in local politics

1as a Republican committee person; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Rosalie Loeding was preceded in death by her son,
3William W. Loeding, and her first and second husbands, John
4Loeding and Harry Clamor; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosalie Loeding is survived by her daughters, Anne
6Loeding-Foster and Barbara Loeding; her brother, Howard; her 4
7grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Rosalie Loeding, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Rosalie Loeding as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
