SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Ana D. Smith; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Ana Smith was born and raised in Colon, Republic 
5of Panama; her parents were Eduardo and Catalina De La 
6Espriella; and
  
 
  
7    WHEREAS, Ana Smith moved from Panama to Villa Park after 
8marrying her husband in 1956; though Villa Park became her 
9home, she visited her family in Panama often and was very proud 
10to be Panamanian; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ana Smith was preceded in death by her parents; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Ana Smith was the beloved wife of the late George 
14C. Smith; the loving mother of George (Pam), Ed (Unme), and 
15Cathie; the proud grandmother of Amanda; the loving sister of 
16Henry, Ana Helena, Mariana, and the late Eduardo; and the 
17loving aunt of many; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Ana D. Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,

1friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to the family of Ana Smith as an expression of our 
4deepest sympathy.
