SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Emma Jean Wesley, who passed away on May
49, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Emma Wesley was born in Shelby, Mississippi on
6September 22, 1957 to Willie, Sr. and Pinkie Wesley; her family
7relocated to Chicago in 1973; she received her education in the
8Mississippi and Chicago public school systems; she married
9Sandy Sadler, Sr. in 1974; she received her Nursing Assistant
10and Homemaker/Home Health Aide certifications in 1987 from the
11Medical Aid Training School, Inc.; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Emma Wesley cared for others for 26 years until
13her retirement from Community Care in 2013; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Emma Wesley was affectionately known by her
15siblings as "Mama"; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Emma Wesley was preceded in death by her parents;
17her sister, Ethel Wesley; and her brothers, John and David
18Wesley; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Emma Wesley is survived by her sons, Sandy Sadler,
20Jr., Randy Steven Sadler, and Cartier Sadler; her grandsons,

1Tyjair "TJ" and Micah Sadler; her sisters, Lula Simpson, Ella
2Granger (Odell), and Hurtis Wesley; her brothers, Rev. Willie
3Wesley, Jr. (Catherine), Robert Wesley, Ernest Wesley (Glen),
4Roosevelt Wesley, Apostle Melvin Wesley (Pamela), and Richard
5Wesley (Dawn); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear
6friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Emma Jean Wesley, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Emma Wesley as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
