SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Barbara Jean Hogan; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Barbara Hogan was born on March 12, 1936 to Earl
5and Eursel Steward; she had 5 brothers, Earl, Jr., Ronald,
6Melvin, Michael, and Samuel and a sister, Florece; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Barbara Hogan graduated from high school in August
8of 1954; she married John Willie Hogan on October 10, 1954;
9they were married for over 41 years and had 12 children,
10Denise, John Lamar (deceased), Daryl, Dwayne, Theresa,
11Christopher, Antonio, Calvin (deceased), Marlon, Lorene,
12Chandra. and Nicole; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Barbara Hogan was a member of the Indiana Avenue
14Pentecostal Church of God; she was a member of the church
15missionary choir and was known and loved for her hospitality;
16she served and welcomed many friends and church members in her
17home; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Barbara is survived by her children Denise, Daryl,
19Dwayne (Dianna), Theresa, Antonio (Pauline), Christopher
20(Rosslyn), Lorene, Marlon, Chandra (Mark), Nicole (Nathan);
21and many other loved ones, including Dr. Mattie Webb, Alicia

2Yarbrough, Ronald (Takeko) Steward, Michael (Jacqueline)
3Steward, Shericee and Solomon Meeks, and Jeron Roberts; her
4grandchildren and great-grandchildren, godchildren, nieces,
5nephews, cousins, and friends in her community and in her
6church; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Barbara Jean Hogan, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Barbara Hogan as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
