2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Arthur R. "Reggie" Rouse, who passed away |
4 | | on May 5, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse was born on February 10, 1947 in |
6 | | Carlinville; his parents were Woody and Carmen (nee Neher) |
7 | | Rouse; he married Carlene Mitch on May 27, 1966 at the Mitch |
8 | | residence in Hettick; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse served in the United States Navy |
10 | | during Vietnam from 1965 to 1969; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse graduated from Northwestern High |
12 | | School with the Class of 1965; he later received his |
13 | | Associate's Degree in Agriculture from Lincoln Land Community |
14 | | College; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse was a coal miner; he worked for the |
16 | | Freeman United Crown II mine in Virden as an electrical |
17 | | repairman for many years until his retirement in 2002; he |
18 | | worked as a Ranger for the Abraham Lincoln Council at Camp Bunn |
19 | | for 30 years and helped his family and friends farm; he was |
20 | | also a trustee and former Road Commissioner for Barr Township |
21 | | and was active with the Hettick Fire Department and Community |

|
2 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse was a member of the Palmyra American |
3 | | Legion Post #1034; and |
4 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse enjoyed his grandchildren and their |
5 | | activities, as well as golfing and fishing; and |
6 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse was preceded in death by his parents; |
7 | | and |
8 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Rouse is survived by his wife, Carlene |
9 | | Rouse; a daughter, Christine (Steve) Hendrickson; a son, Jon |
10 | | (Stacey) Rouse; 6 grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, and Tess |
11 | | Hendrickson and Riley, Jack, and Sophie Rouse; 3 brothers, Ted |
12 | | (Susan) Rouse, Rodney (Kathy) Rouse, and Eric Rouse; a sister, |
13 | | Marilyn (Larry) Lane; several nieces and nephews; and his |
14 | | beloved pets, Scooter and Susie; therefore, be it

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
17 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Arthur R. "Reggie" |
18 | | Rouse; and be it further
