SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas A. Thiel of Johnsburg, who passed 
4away on May 23, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Thiel was born in Johnsburg on August 11, 
61937 to Jacob and Melania A. (nee Miller) Thiel; he served in 
7the United States Army, stationed in Alaska; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Thomas Thiel was employed as a carpenter and 
9estimator for R&D Thiel, Inc. until his retirement in 1993; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Thomas Thiel was a member of St. John the Baptist 
11Catholic Church in Johnsburg, the Johnsburg Community Club, and 
12McHenry Moose Lodge 691; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Thiel was preceded in death by his parents; 
14his brother, Harold Thiel; and his 2 sisters, Dolores (Donald) 
15Babarsky and Joyce (Ronald) Callahan; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Thomas Thiel is survived by his siblings, Robert 
17(the late Cleta) Thiel, Donald (Judith) Thiel, Gerald 
18(Kathleen) Thiel, Allan (Judith) Thiel, and Sharon (John Wirfs) 
19Dust, and his godchildren, Jeffrey (Stacey) Callahan, Judith 
20(Chuck) Guliuzzo, and Christopher Sossong; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Thomas A. Thiel, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Thomas Thiel as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
