SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rita M. Covell of Richmond, who passed
4away on May 29, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rita Covell was born in Richmond on December 26,
61932 to Ernest and Genevieve (Darrow) Kattner; she graduated
7Richmond-Burton High School in 1950 and married William C.
8Covell, Jr. on June 14, 1952 at St. Mary's in Pell Lake,
9Wisconsin; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Rita Covell served as an election judge for many
11years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rita Covell was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
13Church in Richmond; she was an avid Chicago Bulls and Cubs fan;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Rita Covell was preceded in death by her parents;
16her husband, William; her brother, Donald Kattner; and her
17sister, Helen Wicinski; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Rita Covell is survived by her 4 daughters, Kimber
19(Robert) Stout, Tracey (RJ) Hart, Daintri (Lou) Sikora, and
20Nicole Kaminski; her son, Ernest Covell; her 10 grandchildren,

8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Rita M. Covell, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Rita Covell as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
