SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lee B. Mehl of Peoria, who passed away on 
4June 6, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lee Mehl was born in Fargo, North Dakota; her 
6parents were Murray A. and Constance Baldwin; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Lee Mehl graduated from the University of 
8Wisconsin; she was the founder of the Peoria Association of 
9Children with Learning Disabilities; she was also president of 
10the Uplands Association and chair of the Residents Advisory 
11Council at Proctor Place; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Lee Mehl was a tireless advocate for the residents 
13of West Bluff and was a recipient of the Ted Bannon 
14Neighborhood Leadership Award; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Lee Mehl was preceded in death by her husband, 
16Prof. Arthur G. Mehl, and 3 children, William, Anne, and 
17Stephen; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Lee Mehl is survived by 3 children, Kathryn Mehl, 
19Richard Mehl, and David Mehl; a sister, Peg Hunger; and a 
20brother, Steve Baldwin; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Lee B. Mehl; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Lee Mehl as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
