SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James Paul Meisenheimer of Bunker Hill,
4who passed away on May 31, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer was born in Alton on August 15,
61925 to Julius and Nellie (nee Braden) Meisenheimer; he served
7in the United States Army during World War II and married
8Gladys M. Wood on August 3, 1950 in Carlinville; and
 
9    WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer worked for Alton Boxboard for
1043 years; he worked for Meisenheimer Trucking and Excavating
11since 1963 and also did drain cleaning; he dug the graves at
12the local Bunker Hill area cemeteries since 1968; and
 
13    WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer raised horses and took them to
14the Illinois State Fair; he took great pride and joy in
15watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play
16sports; he enjoyed fishing with his grandkids and taking them
17swimming at his brother Earl's pond; he was a St. Louis
18Cardinal baseball fan; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer was preceded in death by his
20parents; his son, Tom Meisenheimer; his granddaughter, Brandy
21Hanner; his great-granddaughter, Evelynn Grace Santel; and his

1brother, Bob Meisenheimer; and
 
2    WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer is survived by his wife,
3Gladys; his son, Jim (Janice) Meisenheimer; his daughters,
4Peggy Bennett and Christy Santel; his grandchildren, Deidre
5(Joe) Charles, Jimmy (Moriah) Meisenheimer, Andrea (Josh)
6Kohring, Tommy (Meghan) Santel, JR (fiancee Nicki) Santel, Nick
7(companion Gina) Santel, and Steve (Shannon) Clemonds; his
8great-grandchildren, Kendall Meisenheimer, Colleen
9Meisenheimer, Jacob Kohring, Lauren Kohring, Eva Kohring,
10Logan Santel, Tyler Santel, Zoey Santel, and Christian Howell;
11his brothers, Earl Meisenheimer and Kenny (Betty)
12Meisenheimer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins;
13therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16James Paul Meisenheimer, and extend our sincere condolences to
17his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of James Meisenheimer as an expression
21of our deepest sympathy.
