SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Roger Belski of Waukegan, who passed away
4on June 4, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Roger Belski was born in Chicago on June 29, 1946
6to Louis and Jean (nee Szostak) Belski; he graduated from North
7Chicago High School in 1964 and served in the United States
8Army from 1966 to 1968; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Upon his return from the service, Roger Belski
10joined the North Chicago Fire Department, where he enjoyed a
1133-year long career; he was also the founder and owner of
12Belski Electric, which he began in 1987; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Roger Belski could often be found riding around
14town in one of his signature vehicles; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Roger Belski was preceded in death by his father,
16Louis Belski, and his companion in life, Marlene Williams; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Roger Belski is survived by his mother, Jean
18Belski; his brothers, Tom (Jeanette) and Jeff (Paula) Belski;
19his daughters, Brenda (Jamie) Fackler, Jill (Mark) Kexel, and
20Katie (Chris) Roberts; his 9 grandchildren; and his former

1spouse, Linda (Beyer) Belski; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Roger Belski, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
5friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Roger Belski as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
