SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Genevieve "Bea" Whyte of Normal, who 
4passed away on May 23, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte was very active in her community; 
6while residing in North Chicago, she was a member of First 
7Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church; she was also a Lake 
8County election volunteer and a member of the Elks Club; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte served as a staff member for 
10Illinois State Senator Terry Link; she also worked for the 
11School District 64 Board of Education, the Lake County Urban 
12League, and Vogue Printers; after retiring, she relocated to 
13Normal and continued to spread love to her new community; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte enjoyed volunteering at her 
15church and spending time with her family and friends; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Genevieve Whyte is survived by a sister, Guynell 
17Long; a son, Gary (Doris) Whyte; a son, Otis Whyte, III; a 
18daughter, Tracie (Vincent) Allen; 6 grandchildren, Cymone, 
19Sierra, and Amber Allen, Kyle Whyte, Arlene (David) Jackson 
20Wilder, and Yitonis Nash; 5 great-grandchildren; and her many 
21nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Genevieve "Bea" Whyte; 
4and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Genevieve Whyte as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
