SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death Frank L. Zembal of Prairie Grove, who passed away on June 8, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was born in Chicago on February 4, 1943 to Frank C. And Clara (nee Ulanski) Zembal; he served in the United States Army, serving 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War; he married Katherine Freeman in Woodstock on February 26, 1993; and

WHEREAS, After serving his country, Frank Zembal resided in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, where he worked in law enforcement for over 20 years; during that time, he volunteered for the Twin Lakes Fire Department as a fire inspector; in 1988, he moved to the Crystal Lake area and accepted a position as Chief of Police for the Village of Lakemoor, retiring in 1995; after retirement, he became a Public Safety Officer at Centegra Hospital of McHenry until 2009; and

WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan; he enjoyed shooting at the gun range, golfing, and vacationing in Florida; and

WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Kevin; and

WHEREAS, Frank Zembal is survived by his wife of 22 years, Katherine; his 6 children, Frank (Renee) Zembal, Wayne (Kimberly) Zembal, David Freeman, John (Christina) McCaulley, Richard McCaulley, and Dan (Magan) McCaulley; his 12 grandchildren; his 5 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Carol (the late Ken) Embry; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frank L. Zembal, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Zembal as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
