SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Bob H. Vickers of Harvard, who passed 
4away on June 12, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Vickers was born on November 7, 1952 in 
6Harvard; his parents were Floyd and Mary Jane (nee Anderson) 
7Vickers; he married Terry Bauman on April 12, 1991 in Las 
8Vegas; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Vickers owned and operated Bob's Machining in 
10Harvard for 30 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bob Vickers was a member of Harvard Moose Lodge 
12#1289; he enjoyed collecting American Flyer trains, baking 
13rhubarb pies, golfing, bowling, boating, snowmobiling, 
14motorcycles, his dogs, and his "toy", a Chevy Nova; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Bob Vickers was preceded in death by his parents 
16and his step-mother, Jeanette Vickers; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Bob Vickers is survived by his wife, Terry; 4 
18children, Jennifer (David) Goldfein, Charity (Rob) Cook, 
19Melissa (Nate Brandt) Swartzbaugh, and Jordyn Vickers; 7 
20grandchildren, Matthew, Shoshana, Sabrina, Greg, Ashley, Lucy,

1and Preslea; a sister, Vicky (Brian) Mattson; and 2 
2step-brothers, Jim and Donnie Vermett; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Bob H. Vickers; and be 
6it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Bob Vickers as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
