SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Michael A. Freund of McHenry, who passed 
4away on June 12, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Freund was born on September 24, 1958 in 
6Waukegan; his parents were Alan Freund and Frances (nee Blake) 
7Freund; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Michael Freund enjoyed spending time in his yard, 
9hosting gatherings at his home, and spending time with his 
10family; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Freund was preceded in death by his 
12mother; his grandparents, George and Christina (Justen) Blake 
13and Gus and Agnes (Steffes) Freund; and his faithful companion, 
14Bear; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, Michael Freund is survived by his wife, Doreen 
16(Rosing) Freund; his father, Alan; his step-mother, Janice 
17(Cady) Freund; 2 brothers, Jeffrey Freund and Scott (Lisa) 
18Freund; a step-brother, Bill Schramm; a step-sister, Laura 
19Schramm; 3 step-sons, Jason (Melissa) Lauer, Justin (Estea) 
20Lauer, and Kyle Sytsma; a granddaughter, Carley Lauer; 2 
21uncles, Eugene and John Blake; 4 aunts, Georgia (Harry) Hogan,

1Carol (Dave) Zank, Cindy Freund, and Ruth Ouimette; and his 
2many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael A. Freund; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Michael Freund as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
