SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Alice M. Hutchison of Harvard, who passed away on June 14, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Alice Hutchison was born in Chicago on December 5, 1940 to Harold and Gertrude (Carey) Altman; she married Jerome F. Hutchison on December 17, 1976 in Park Ridge; and

WHEREAS, Alice Hutchison worked as an Administrative Assistant for Zenith Corporation and as a Function Coordinator for the Hyatt Hotel in Rosemont; and

WHEREAS, Alice Hutchison was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Harvard, prior to becoming a spiritual member of the Magnificat prayer group at The Church of Holy Apostles, where she was referred to as "Scripture Lady"; she loved all wild life animals; she enjoyed the companionship of her cats, was an avid reader, and enjoyed the company of family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Alice Hutchison was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Arnold Keane; and her sister, Joan Altman; and

WHEREAS, Alice Hutchison is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerome; her 5 children, Robert (Jennifer) Keane, Joan (Greg) Tastad, Lori (Kurt Steigerwald) Logan, Thomas (Barbara) Hutchison, and Timothy (Lucy) Hutchison; her 15 grandchildren, Jaclyn, James, Jason, Keith, Kelsie, Joshua, Scarlet, Justin, Robby, Bryana, Jordan, Elizabeth, Skylor, Brandon, and Joseph; her 6 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Maggie, Declan, Olivia, James, Jr., and Jackson; her sister, Marilyn (the late Rudy) Seebacker; and her brother, Richard Altman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Alice M. Hutchison, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Alice Hutchison as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
