SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Lou Ann Ross of Carlinville, who passed 
4away on June 9, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lou Ross was born in Springfield on March 14, 1926 
6to Louis and Florence Christianson Crawford; she married Zane 
7Ross on October 9, 1948 in Springfield; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Lou Ross was a homemaker and  also worked alongside 
9her husband at the Wheeler & Ross Hardware store in Palmyra for 
10many years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Lou Ross was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph 
12Catholic Church in Carlinville; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Lou Ross was preceded in death by her parents; her 
14husband, Zane; and her 2 brothers, Richard and Robert Crawford; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Lou Ross is survived by her 2 daughters, Martha 
17March (Ralph) and Marilyn Brown (Mark); her  son, Stephen Ross 
18(Nancy); her 6 grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren; her 2 
19sisters, Sister Philip Neri Crawford OP and Barbara Fox; and 
20several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Lou Ann Ross, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Lou Ross as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
